You can connect a chat assistant to Transitive. Then you ask questions in plain words, for example “Which invoices failed today?” The assistant reads your Transitive data and answers. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol). MCP is a standard that lets a chat assistant use tools from another service. You do not need to know how it works. You only add one address in your chat app.

The AI assistant connection is a separate service. It is part of your contract with Transitive. To enable it for your organization, contact the Transitive team at support@transitive.app.

1

Check that you can connect

The Transitive team must enable the service for your organization. Your chat app must allow custom connectors. Refer to Fix connection problems.
2

Add the connector in your chat app

Follow the steps for Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.
3

Sign in and allow

Your chat app opens a Transitive sign-in page. Sign in, select your organization, and select Allow.
4

Ask a question

What you give the assistant

The Allow page shows what the app can read: your identity, your email address and your profile. After you allow, the assistant can use your organization’s Transitive data through the tools in What the assistant can do. The assistant works inside one organization. It cannot see the data of another organization.
