# Status codes

> The parts of a status, the status groups, and the activities.

Use this reference to find a status code and the action to do. To learn how a status changes, refer to [Statuses](/concepts/statuses).

## Parts of a status

| Part | What it is | Example |
| - | - | - |
| Group | The family of the status. It sets the color and the filter in the document list. | Waiting |
| Code | The exact condition in the group. Each code has one label. | `parents` |
| Label | The text that the app shows for the code. | Waiting for related documents |
| Activity | The step that Transitive does at this time. Only some statuses show an activity. | `submitting` |

## Status groups

Each group has a page with its codes.

| Group | What it means | Codes |
| - | - | - |
| [Waiting](/reference/statuses/waiting) | The document is on its way to a stamp. | 5 |
| [Blocked](/reference/statuses/blocked) | A company setting stops the stamps of every document of the company. | 7 |
| [Missing](/reference/statuses/missing) | A document that this document refers to is missing. | 2 |
| [Failed](/reference/statuses/failed) | Transitive cannot stamp the document. | 75 |
| [Stamped](/reference/statuses/stamped) | The version that the status shows has a valid CFDI. | 6 |
| [Cancelling](/reference/statuses/cancelling) | A cancellation of the CFDI is open. | 1 |
| [Cancelled](/reference/statuses/cancelled) | The SAT cancelled the CFDI of the current version. | 1 |
| [Not stamped](/reference/statuses/not-stamped) | Transitive decided that the document does not get a CFDI. | 7 |
| [Not received](/reference/statuses/not-received) | A different document refers to this document, but CargoWise did not send it. | 1 |

Some failures do not change the status to **Failed**. They show on the timeline. Refer to [Timeline failures](/reference/timeline/overview).

## Activities

An activity tells you which step Transitive does at this time. An activity does not change the group or the color.

| Activity | Group | What Transitive does |
| - | - | - |
| `submitting` | Waiting | Transitive sends the document to the stamping provider. |
| `reconciling_outcome` | Waiting | Transitive asks the stamping provider for the result of a stamp. |
| `issuing_substitute` | Stamped | Transitive stamps the replacement. The original CFDI stays valid until the replacement has a CFDI. |
| `cancelling_previous_version` | Stamped | The replacement has a CFDI. Transitive cancels the CFDI of the previous version. |
