# Settlement contribution is not applied

> A settlement contribution is not applied to a payment.

Code `settlement_contribution_unapplied`. The status is **Failed**.

> The settlement contribution C1 pays invoices, but no payment of this receipt applies it. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

The receipt has a settlement contribution that pays invoices. No payment of the receipt applies it. Thus, the payment complement cannot show all of the payment.
