# Payment method is missing

> The invoice has no valid payment method.

Code `payment_method_missing`. The status is **Failed**.

> CargoWise gives this invoice no payment method. It must be PUE or PPD. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

The payment method of an invoice must be <Tooltip tip="Payment method for an invoice that the customer paid in full when you issued it.">PUE</Tooltip> or <Tooltip tip="Payment method for an invoice that the customer pays later or in parts.">PPD</Tooltip>. CargoWise gives no value, or a value that is not one of these two.

### CargoWise gives a different value

> CargoWise says the payment method is PPDX. It must be PUE or PPD. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

The value in CargoWise is not PUE or PPD. Correct it.
