# Receipt amount is ambiguous

> The receipt amounts do not show which amount was paid.

Code `payment_basis_ambiguous`. The status is **Failed**.

> CargoWise says the receipt is 1000.00 USD and 17500.00 MXN in local currency. It does not say which one was paid. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

CargoWise gives the receipt amount in the foreign currency and in the local currency. The two amounts do not show which amount the customer paid.
