# Invoice balance does not match its payments

> The balance of an invoice in CargoWise is not equal to its payment history.

Code `parent_balance_mismatch`. The status is **Failed**.

> CargoWise says the previous balance of INV-1042 is 500.00 MXN. Its payment history gives 450.00 MXN. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

A <Tooltip tip="Payment complement. A CFDI that records a payment on a PPD invoice.">REP</Tooltip> shows the balance of each invoice before and after the payment. Transitive calculates these balances from the earlier payments of the invoice. The balance in CargoWise is different.

### The balance after the payment is different

> CargoWise says the remaining balance of INV-1042 is 300.00 MXN. Its payment history gives 250.00 MXN. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

The applied amount or an earlier payment is incorrect.
