# Invoice VAT does not match its lines

> The VAT of an invoice is not equal to the VAT of its lines.

Code `income_vat_total_mismatch`. The status is **Failed**.

> CargoWise says the VAT (OSGSTVATAmount) is 160.00 MXN. The VAT of the lines adds up to 158.40 MXN. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

CargoWise gives the VAT of the invoice in OSGSTVATAmount. Transitive adds the VAT of each line and gets a different amount. A line tax or the invoice VAT is incorrect.
