# A line's VAT does not match its rate

> The VAT of a line is not equal to its base multiplied by its rate.

Code `income_line_vat_mismatch`. The status is **Failed**.

> CargoWise says the VAT of line 2 (Ocean freight) is 16.00 MXN. Its base and rate give 16.16 MXN. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

The SAT calculates the VAT of each line from its base and its rate. The VAT that CargoWise gives for this line is different. The message gives the line.
