# Exchange rate is missing

> A document or a payment in a foreign currency has no exchange rate.

Code `exchange_rate_missing`. The status is **Failed**.

> This document is in USD, but CargoWise gives no exchange rate (ExchangeRate). Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

A CFDI or a payment in a currency that is not MXN must have an exchange rate. CargoWise gives no rate.

## Cases

### A payment of a payment complement has no rate

> Payment 2 is in USD, but CargoWise gives no exchange rate (ExchangeRate). Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

The message gives the payment.
