# Credit note currency does not match its invoice

> The credit note and its invoice use different currencies.

Code `credit_currency_mismatch`. The status is **Failed**.

> CargoWise says the credit note is in USD. INV-1042 is in MXN. Fix it in CargoWise and resend the document, or stamp it by hand.

## What it means

A credit note must use the currency of the invoice that it credits.
