# settlement_contribution_unapplied

> A settlement contribution is not applied to a payment.

Group: [Payment complements](/reference/failures/overview#payment-complements). The status is **Failed**.

> The settlement contribution C1 pays invoices, but no payment of this receipt applies it.

## What it means

The receipt has a settlement contribution that pays invoices. No payment of the receipt applies it. Thus, the payment complement cannot show all of the payment.

## How to correct it

Correct the data in CargoWise. Then send the document again, or stamp it by hand.
