# parent_balance_evidence_missing

> Transitive cannot prove the balance of an invoice.

Group: [Payment complements](/reference/failures/overview#payment-complements). The status is **Failed**.

> **Invoice balance cannot be proven** `parent_balance_evidence_missing`
>
> Transitive has no payment history that proves the balance of INV-1042, and CargoWise sends no OutstandingAmount for it.

## What it means

Transitive needs the balance of the invoice before the payment. The payment history does not prove it, and the receipt has no OutstandingAmount for the invoice.

## How to correct it

Correct the data in CargoWise. Then send the document again, or stamp it by hand.
