# exchange_rate_out_of_range

> The exchange rate is outside the range that the SAT permits for the currency.

Group: [SAT and stamping provider](/reference/failures/overview#sat-and-stamping-provider). The status is **Failed**.

> CargoWise says the exchange rate (ExchangeRate) for USD is 168.947. That is outside the range that the SAT allows for USD (c\_Moneda), so the SAT refuses it without a confirmation code from the stamping provider.

## What it means

The SAT publishes a permitted range of exchange rates for each currency (c\_Moneda). A rate outside the range needs a confirmation code from the stamping provider. Usually the rate in CargoWise has an error, for example a decimal point in the wrong position. The timeline shows the code and the message from the provider.

## How to correct it

Compare the exchange rate of the document in CargoWise with the rate of the Diario Oficial de la Federación for that date. Then send the document again, or stamp it by hand.
