# credit_exceeds_parent

> The credit note is larger than its invoice.

> CargoWise says the credit note is 1200.00 MXN. INV-1042 is 1000.00 MXN.

## What it means

A credit note cannot credit more than the total of its invoice. The amount is incorrect, or the credit note refers to the incorrect invoice.

## How to correct it

Correct the data in CargoWise. Then send the document again, or stamp it by hand.
