# Promote to live

> Move a test document to the live environment to stamp a real CFDI.

Promote a test document when the test result is correct. The live copy starts as a new document and gets a CFDI with fiscal value.

## Promote a document

    In the document list, select **Test**. Open the document.

  <Step title="Select Promote">
    Select **Promote**. Transitive starts the live copy of the document.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the live status">
    In the document list, show the live environment. The live copy starts with version 1, and
    Transitive stamps it automatically.
  </Step>

## What changes

* The test copy keeps its status. Its timeline shows **Promoted to live**.
* The live copy and the test copy change independently.
* If the PAC rejects the live copy, only the live copy is **Failed**. The test copy does not change.

## When you can promote

**Promote** is available on a test document that you did not promote before. It is not available on a **Not received** entry.
