# Glossary

| Term | Meaning |

| Attempt | One try to stamp a version. Refer to [Versions and attempts](/concepts/versions-and-attempts). |
| CFDI | Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet. The electronic invoice that the SAT records. |
| CSD | Certificado de Sello Digital. The certificate that the company uses to sign each CFDI. |
| Environment | Test or live. Refer to [Environments](/concepts/environments). |
| Motive | The SAT reason for a cancellation. Refer to [Choose a cancellation motive](/guides/choose-a-cancellation-motive). |
| PAC | Proveedor Autorizado de Certificación. The stamping provider that stamps each CFDI. |
| Payment complement (REP) | The CFDI for a payment on a PPD invoice. |
| PPD | Pago en parcialidades o diferido. An invoice that the customer pays later or in parts. |
| PUE | Pago en una sola exhibición. An invoice that the customer pays at one time. |
| Receiver | The customer that receives the CFDI. |
| RFC | Registro Federal de Contribuyentes. The tax ID in Mexico. |
| SAT | Servicio de Administración Tributaria. The tax authority of Mexico. |
| Stamp | To make a CFDI valid at the SAT through the PAC. |
| Stamp credit | The unit that each CFDI uses. Refer to [Credits and company setup](/guides/stamp-credits-and-company-setup). |
| Timeline | The history of a document. Refer to [Timeline](/concepts/timeline). |
| UUID | The fiscal ID of a CFDI. The SAT gives it at the stamp. |
| Version | One CFDI that you intend for a document. Refer to [Versions and attempts](/concepts/versions-and-attempts). |
